Self-Managing Your Support at Home Package? Choose Serenity Companions as Your Care Team

When you self-manage your Support at Home funding, your provider charges a lower hourly rate — which means your quarterly budget stretches further. Depending on your classification, self-managing can give you anywhere from 6 to 45 extra hours of personal care per quarter, compared with a fully managed arrangement. What Self-Management Means
If you've been assessed for Support at Home, you can choose to self-manage your package — giving you more say over which providers you use, how your funding is spent, and often more care hours for the same funding compared to a fully managed arrangement. The trade-off is that self-management means taking on more of the coordination and compliance yourself.
How Serenity Companions Fits In
We work with Support at Home providers who offer self-management, including Trilogy Care and Dulcie Home Care. If your provider allows associated providers, we may be able to work with them too. Serenity Companions is the team that actually delivers your care — matched to you personally, not assigned to you.

Fees
Our standard personal care rate is $83/hour on weekdays, with different rates for overnight, nursing, and weekends/public holidays. Your provider adds its own fee on top of our rate. For example, our $83/hr weekday rate becomes $91.30/hr. Ask us for the rates that apply with your provider.
